Martin Jay Rosenblum AIA and Associates is a multi-disciplinary practice with a diverse group of associates whose more than 100 years of cumulative experience gives our clients a wealth of knowledge upon which to rely for design solutions. Some associates have specialized in traditional detailing of 18th and 19th century architecture, while others are well versed in contemporary architecture. When a client engages MJRA they can rest assured that the design they receive will be well grounded in design methodology no matter what style of architecture it might be.
Our team members have professional degrees in Architecture, Interior Design and Architecture-Historic Preservation from Columbia University, Tulane University, The University of Oregon, The University of Illinois, New Jersey Institute of Technology, and Virginia Tech. We also participate annually in professional continuing education to keep us apprised of the latest trends in the fields of architecture and building construction.
The MJRA team is active in the design community in ways other than our practice: one of our associates is the co-chair of the Zoning committee for the Bella Vista Civic Association, while another is a committee member for the East Falls Civic Association Zoning Committee. Associates are also neighborhood walking tour guides for the Preservation Alliance of Greater Philadelphia and have been guest critics at The Boston Architectural Center, The University of Pennsylvania, and Philadelphia University. But the most important team members of MJRA are our clients. We design in a collaborative atmosphere where every team member contributes to the design solution – including the client. While we always advise our clients, we do not dictate to them. We seek to create our designs by consensus and do our utmost to keep our clients informed and engaged so they are as vested with the design solution as we are. We like to think there is a piece from every team member in every design we create.
